A GEORGE III THIRTY-HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK MOVEMENT AND DIAL Jonathan Nathan Sickell, Kingsbridge, circa 1770 The four pillar countwheel bell striking two-handed movement with anchor escapement for regulation by seconds pendulum and 11 inch square brass dial signed Jn'o Nathan Sickell, KINGSBRIDGE to the river landscape engraved silvered centre within applied Roman numeral chapter ring with Arabic five minutes to outer track, with scroll-pierced steel hands and gilt rococo scroll cast spandrels to angles (no pendulum or weights); together with a Victorian fusee dial timepiece dial and case only, unsigned, late 19th century, with 12 inch dial (lacking glass and side door), (2). The movement and dial 16.5cm (6.5ins) deep overall; the dial timepiece case 37cm (14.5ins) diameter, 15cm (6ins) deep overall. Provenance: The Estate of Lawrence Hurst. Jonathan Nathan Sickell of Kingsbridge does not appear to be recorded in the usual sources.
