A pair of alabaster models of spaniels, third quarter 19th century, the hounds modelled with baskets of flowers in their mouths, both with glass domes and ebonised wood base, 15cm high 16.5cm long overall Provenance: The property of a lady and gentleman, removed from a Cheshire country house By repute, supplied to the vendor by Nina Campbell Condition Report: Marks, knocks, chips and scratches to both alabaster models One glass dome is badly damaged Both front paws on one model show evidence of being broke off and glued repair. One basket is missing one flower, the basket also showing signs of glued repair. Chips to the red and black paint on both sets of flowers Please see additional images for reference.
