此盏炉型，深腹，敛口，碗体厚实，至于手中有明显压手之感，胎体呈深褐色，似未曾精炼的生铁，是典型建窑铁胎器，整体皆施黑釉，釉色乌黑均匀，外壁施釉到底，釉面滋润光亮，浮现银棕色大小不一的油滴斑，或大或小，或紧或疏，在日光下呈银色，灿若繁星。
