款识：「大明嘉靖年制」六字双行楷书款 此碗撇口、深弧壁、下承圈足，呈仰钟式，其器型因反扣如铜钟故名。通体施黄釉，釉面肥腴滋润，呈色娇嫩清亮，釉色娇黄如鸡油。足内施白釉，底书「大明嘉靖年制」六字青花寄托款，款字端庄规整，苍劲中藏秀逸，给人以刚柔相济之感。内外黄釉器素为明清官窑之高贵品种，在中国古代，黄色具有极为特殊的象征意义，尤其是明清两代对黄色的使用则有更为严格的限制，据《明英宗实录》卷一六一载：「禁江西饶州府私造黄、紫、红、绿、青、蓝、白地青花瓷，首犯凌迟处死，籍其家资，丁男充军边卫，知而不以告者，连坐。」由此可见，黄色瓷器的珍贵。
