笔筒取竹为材，呈直筒形，器壁宽厚，包浆润泽，筒身外壁浮雕西厢记张生惜别崔莺莺时的场景，松石山涧，苍松掩映，张生拱手惜别，莺莺拂袖神伤，红娘倾身劝慰，侍者歇坐相望，暗示送别已有时，且仍难以分离，神情生动，跃然其上；亭台楼榭间，房前屋后层次分明，周围苍松掩映，怪石嶙峋，曲水流觞，极园林之胜，刻工之精细令人赞叹，巧用透雕使画面更具立体感和层次感，充分体现透视效果。整器雕工娴熟精炼，布局疏朗有致，画面纵深有度，为一件难得的文房佳作。Lot658-696为同一藏家旧藏
