A RARE BOAR'S TOOTH NETSUKE OF A DRUNK COURT SERVANT WITH SAKE JAR Unsigned Japan, 18th century, Edo period (1615-1868) The court servant wearing an eboshi and a loose-fitting robe, holding a large sake jar in both hands, laughing with his eyes closed, visibly inebriated. Large, asymmetrical himotoshi through the back. HEIGHT 5.8 cm Condition: Good condition with natural flaws to the material, age cracks. Provenance: French private collection.
