A Chinese Yixing clay teapot with bamboo-form handle and spout. The hexagonal body is molded to look like a bundle of bamboo. The bottom has a stamped scene of scholarly objects. Dimensions are: 3 3/4 inches tall X 6 1/2 inches wide, 9.5 cm X 16.5 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The inner and outer rims of the lid have chipping. The handle has been reattached. Provenance: From a private Pennsylvania collection.
