A group of four modern Chinese paintings and calligraphies, all mounted on a silk backing with dowels. Two of the scrolls have wooden dowels. The first scroll is a watercolor and ink painting with an inscription and four seals, and it comes in a box. The second scroll is an ink painting of bamboo with an inscription and two seals. The third scroll is a watercolor and ink painting of a woman in a landscape with an inscription and one seal. The fourth and final scroll is an ink calligraphy with three seals. Dimensions are: the fourth and largest scroll measures 47 inches tall X 23 inches wide, 119.4 cm X 58.4 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The first scroll has staining. The second scroll is in good condition. The third scroll has creasing and minor wear. The fourth scroll has minor spotting. Provenance: From a private collection in Lorton, Virginia. The collector has been restoring antiques for over 50 years in the Washington, DC area.
