W. Richards was a trade name for shotguns made by Henri Pieper, Liege, Belgium. Shotgun has a Damascus steel barrel and engravings on both breach plates. Foregrip and pistol grip have checkered designs. Belgian proof mark dates it to prior to 1893. Dimensions are: 45 inches long X 2 1/4 inches wide; 114.3 cm long X 5.71 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Age appropriate patina on metal parts. Slight gap between the barrels and breach. Provenance: From a Northern Virginia collection.
