A woodblock by Japanese artist Shoda Koho (1871-1946) titled ‘Canal by Moonlight.’ The woodblock depicts a moonlit canal with trees. There are 2 seals on the right hand side of the image and the work has been signed ‘Koho’ on the matting. Dimensions are: framed the work measures, 17 inches tall X 13 inches wide, 43.18 cm X 33.02 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: No noted damage to the work of art, not inspected outside of the frame. The frame has a chip in the wood to the upper right corner. Provenance: From a private Fairfax, VA collection.
