A Chinese jade ceremonial objectGilded ceremonial object consisting of three jade rings connected by hinges and fitting into each other. The outermost ring gilded and with a sculptural dragon figure on top. The middle ring with gilded dragon decoration. The smallest, innermost ring completely gilded and decorated with a spiral pattern. In the centre a gilded dragon. The two connecting pieces between the three rings partially gilded with taotie masks. Finest, probably antique engraving work. Small remnants of copper concretions in places. The connecting pin between the outermost and middle ring is missing. Intact. Diameter 15.8 cm. Height 20 cm. Provenance: From an old private collection in Munich, acquired in the 1960s - 1970s in an art gallery at Cologne, Germany.Condition: II
