Measurements: Height: 17-1/2" Diameter: 12-1/8" Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Emperor Reign Period blue and white porcelain reward vase. Shaped in a slightly compressed rotund body with rounded shoulders converging into a tall straight neck, smooth narrowed mouth, with a slightly concaved foot base. The main body decorated with hand painting in blue underglaze of the great snarling imperial dragon careening through cumulus clouds. Dragon is the symbol of the Emperor, the Son of Heaven, eternity, Yang and Yin, male vigor and fecundity. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The glaze terminates above the foot, revealed the pale-creme unglazed ground foot rim, with the central circle base left partial white underglaze. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be highly valued Chinese Guanyao porcelain Imperial wares, with the finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the painting, and the shape. Elegancy come with tall hardwood stand carved with scrolling ruyi and Auspicious motif. The underside bears reign mark, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made In The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
