Measurements: Height: 5.6in x Diam. 13.75in Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Wanli Doucai Dragon and Phoenix motif porcelain bowl. Potted with a deep curvature body, elevated the steep sides upward mouth rim, raised on a slight concave footing. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in two color filled the blue fine lines, depicted dragon and phoenix amidst scrolling yellow foliate against the clean white ground underglaze. The colors are harmonious, balanced, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue script Kaishu characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine rings, Made In The Years of Jiajing Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
