Measurements: 19.375in x14.25in x 8.625in Great, Chinese Qing Dynasty period, flambe glaze porcelain amphora moon vase. Potted in moon vase, thick and tall, with bulbous lower region, moon belly, sweeping up into a slender neckline and thick ring mouth rim, emerge two archaic handles flanked from neck to the shoulder rim, create majestic handles, raised on short rectangle foot base with slight concave footing. The exterior characterize in Flambe design color, which contrast against the blue, red and purple fine color. Flambe is the name given to the high-fire iridescent glaze that has blue, purple and reddish colors. They came up with shapes, clearly influenced by archaic bronze vessels and a new ware on a porcelain body using three distinctly different glazes, one for the blue inside, one for the red outside and a third for the brownish green applied within the foot-rims.
