PROVENANCE: From private collectors in Highland Park, Dallas, Texas. Measurements: Height: 9.6 cm, Diam: 42.2cm Chinese Ming Dynasty Longquan Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Warm and uniform green glaze applied to the surface. The Longquan celadons is a type of green-glazed Chinese and were among the finest of a range of celadon wares produced in China, and led stylistic and technical developments. The celadons were produced in a range of shades of colour, centred on olive-green, but extending to greenish blues and browns.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
