PROVENANCE: From private collectors in Plano, Texas. Measurements: Height: 33 cm, Diam: 19cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Douqing Porcelain Five Tube Vase. Cluster of five conjoined vases with one taller on centre and surrounded by fifth conjoined body. Thick and slight tall, ovoid bodies connected together with one larger vase at the centre, all rounded shoulder tapering gracefully to a prominent straight neck below a slighty flaring upper open lip, raised on ring foot base. Warm and uniform green celadon glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
