A Victorian parcel-gilt Gothic style harp, by Sebastian and Pierre Erard, with engraved brass plate Sebastian and Pierre Erard's Patent No. 5744, 18 Great Marlborough St, London, 175cm highEight strings are broken. Small losses of gilding to the crown and column, small cracks visible. Signs of wear and small chips to the frame and soundboard facing the player. One pedal is missing and a split near the pedals on the left side. Also cracking around the middle and right pedal. Further losses to gilding at the foot of the frame around the pedals. Evidence of woodworm. This harp comes with tuning wind in leather carrying case, an inner storage case and outer protective case, and spare strings. Please note this lot is sold as a decorative item and Roseberys do not guarantee working order of any musical instrument. The lot requires restorations and should be viewed or additional photos requested before bidding.
