Large Japanese Painted Hanging Scroll ? Late 19th / Early 20th Century. The painting, with a silk surround, features an elegant lady holding a fan whilst leaning on a screen that depicts a warrior on horseback and a man with a dog on a lead. It is signed and sealed. The scroll has glass ends and is in its original fitted wooden box. Length of scroll 193cm (76 inches), width (not including scroll ends) 72cm (28.25 inches). Meiji period (1868 ? 1912). Provenance: From the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
