Description

又称月净菩萨、月光遍照菩萨，是药师如来的胁侍菩萨。佛经中说，月光菩萨能庇护众生，除去一切障难与病痛，并成就一切善法，远离各种怖畏。此尊头戴峨冠，缯带于耳际上扬。面颊丰腴，额际高广，眼睑微开，现慈悲庄严之女相。身穿通肩衲衣，佩饰璎珞钏环。衣缘錾刻精美的缠枝莲纹，纹褶流畅自然，具有飘柔的锦绸质感。双手当胸托着启悟众生的瑞霭月轮，其上刻划捣药的玉兔，双足并立于莲台上。台座采用汉地形制，短简的上瓣高出莲台，下瓣饱满舒展，紧贴器壁。整像在铸造、錾刻及镀金方面都极为考究，应出自内地的大寺庙。
