天球瓶是受西亚文化影响的一种瓷器造型，或创烧于明代永乐、宣德年间，清代仿古之风盛行，雍正、乾隆时期对此种器型多有仿烧、创新之作，拍品即为一例。
造型秀美，端庄典雅，通体施仿宋定窑白釉，釉色恬淡，釉质匀净犹如凝脂，温润可人，开片匀停。釉下暗刻云龙赶珠纹，神龙腾飞，身躯遒劲，追逐火球，近足处加饰海水江崖纹。整器气韵清新雅致，纹饰线条流畅清晰，置于案头，别有意趣。
