此盏敞口，沿下束口，瘦底，圈足，是建窑比较典型的盏式之一，盏内外施釉，釉面有黑、银相间的条纹，内外釉面上有类似黑银兔毫毛纹理清晰，细腻流畅。垂釉较重，近足露紫黑色胎。此盏兔毫呈银色，底釉乌黑如墨，腹部极深，适合击拂斗茶，其中银毫在老盏中甚为稀有，为兔毫中的极品，由于盏色本就青黑，玻化又好，如此呈色和器型为建盏中珍贵极品的典型特征宋代崇尚斗茶之风，此盏是斗茶最佳珍品，因其黑釉盏能衬托白色茶沫、观察茶色，故此深受皇室贵族.士大夫、文人等斗茶者的最为要用。
