|说明：此器以黄玉为材，圆雕瑞兽，造型古拙。瑞兽呈蹲踞状，四肢收于身下；回首前视，炯炯有神；鬓毛趾爪以简化繁，线条流畅，古朴自然。玉兽头部俏色，深浅相间，意蕴非常。黄玉由于产量稀少，故而十分名贵，其价值不低于甚至高于羊脂白玉。明代高濂的《遵生八笺》对于玉以及黄玉有这样一段描述：「玉以甘黄为上，羊脂次之；黄为中色，且不易得，以白为偏色，时亦有之，故而令人贱黄而贵白，以见少也……」据此分析，明代士大夫玩玉、赏玉，以黄玉为贵。本品为清仿古之作，造型小巧，可盈手把玩，彰显文人情怀。
