Late Shang Dynasty Well cast with an egg-shaped body rising from three blade tapering legs, four pictographs cast beneath the loop handle on one side, reading yuzuo fuyi, and centred on two taotie masks divided by a low vertical flange on the other side, a band of triangle stylised banana leaves rising beneath the flared rim extending towards the edges of the mouth rim, two capped upright posts set on the end of spout, with a mottled green patina and some encrustation, box. 20.5cm (8in) high.
