A PAIR OF WILLIAM IV GILTWOOD AND MARBLE CONSOLE TABLESPOSSIBLY IRISH, CIRCA 1830 83cm high, 97.5cm wide, 48cm deepProvenance: Rathbeale Hall, Co Dublin. Condition Report There are some marks, scratches, chips and abrasions consistent with age and use, some to the extremities and edges.The gilding is original with some small areas of later gilding/gilt paint. The gilding has some cracks, and some chips revealing the underlying white gesso, the feet chipped and the bun feet largely white with lack of gilding. There are later plaster flowerhead roundels later applied to the scroll at the top of the legs.The marble tops with some granulated pitting and chips generally visible by 'touch'There is evidence of old worm including to the frieze and feet.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.
