Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)The wide-bodied bronze koro standing on four feet and with two handles shaped as majestic ho-o birds, the body worked with iro-e takazogan and gold inlay as plovers (chidori) above crashing waves with silver-inlaid dew drops.
