观世界形能自在无碍，对苦恼众生能自在拔苦与乐，故称自在观音。此尊观音结全跏趺坐于盛开莲座之上，身着宽袍，佩戴璎珞，右手结印，左手拿于净水瓶腹前，体态饱满。面如满月，发辫分股垂于肩上，似少女之装扮。姿态自在而超逸，躯体充满了动人的柔和感与生命力。底座由仰俯高莲台承托。线条流畅，工艺简洁，打磨精细，尤其是手脚的刻划细腻柔软，极富雕塑美感。后背刻有供养人家族姓名，属实罕见。
