释迦牟尼为佛教创始者，本姓乔达摩，名悉达多。出生时，曾出现各种祥瑞之象，后世以此为佛陀于世间示现成佛之缘起。大乘佛教对祂又有不同的尊称，如《华严经》称其为毗卢遮那佛，是「光明遍照，横遍十方」之意，俗谓大日如来。此尊造像是汉传佛教中的阿弥陀佛立像。佛像头大，螺发高髻，脸庞丰圆适中，宽额，眼睑呈圆弧形且略微上扬，长耳，嘴角微扬，面容庄严祥和。裸露胸膛。衣纹随躯体自然地弯曲折迭，此作不仅衣纹厚重写实，衣缘装饰带细致的植物纹样，手法细腻，体现乾隆时期宫廷造像工艺精细的特质。露趾以直立姿站立于仰覆莲座之上。莲座花瓣饱满，上层呈现突起三角形，于花瓣边缘阴刻两行弧线；下层莲办舒展开来，花瓣尾端饰有云纹，框座上缘以连珠纹作装饰。
