鬲形之器，古来有之，石器时代有陶鬲，夏、商、周有青铜鬲。汉魏、南北朝时期有青瓷鬲，唐宋元明清亦随之。鬲炉本为礼器，古有分裆鬲，索耳鬲。后经改制，合裆为腹，去耳平口，双弦为颈，鼓腹突硕，圆垂腹坠，三足壮伟，功精韵佳。斯炉风气卓然，矮扁而阔，线条优美古雅，沉稳恬静，颇有明炉之遗风。平口微斜倾，气韵内收，沿边起线，束颈双弦，精准平行，扁腹柔美，曲线优雅，圆弧顺畅，三足鼎立，玉柱承天，气宇不凡，细究此款，借比炉型，绝非寻常之族所用之器。
