Description

该钟的造型是中国传统阁楼式，清宫旧藏的钟表内，就有式样繁多的阁楼式自鸣钟。因阁楼式钟表充满中国传统风情，所以尤其受人喜爱，也是乾隆广钟的典型式样之一。钟分两层，下层钟箱内安有三针钟一座，为画珐琅手绘罗马数字钟盘，四周各装饰铜镀金折枝花一束，雕镌工夫极为细致，体现了乾隆朝工艺繁复精湛的特色。机芯上方设一布景箱，为清代流行的水法装饰，钟表报时之际，转动如瀑布。上层为铜木构件组成的中国式阁楼，此钟由弦孔上弦后，在乐声伴奏下，便有小人物在帷幕里出来，攀爬单杠，做出翻转的运动姿势，精巧可爱，引人围观。
