A Chinese silver sword dating from the Republic period inset with Ming dynasty carved jades. The sheath and sword are inlaid with lapis lazuli, coral, and turquoise. The sword features Chilong, phoenixes, and floral motifs incised and carved into the silver. There are six inlaid white jade carvings on the sheath and sword. Each white jade piece is carved with a Chilong. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from Oriental Antiques in Hong Kong. Dimensions are 29 1/2 inches long X 2 1/2 inches wide, 74.9 cm X 6.4 cm. Weight: 1576 grams. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It shows signs of wear. The blade is rusted. Some of the stones are missing. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
