A Chinese famille rose porcelain statue of Guanyin with the 4-character mark of Cao Mingji, dating from the Republic period. It comes with a wooden stand. Guanyin sits in a relaxed pose while holding a scroll in her left hand. She wears a ruyi necklace as well as a white robe incised with lotus tracery and with black geometric borders. Dimensions are: 19 3/4 inches tall X 12 inches wide, 50.2 cm X 30.5 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The left hand is missing a finger. Abrasions and wear throughout.
