Description
Translation provided by Youdao
A Chinese yellow-ground sancai ginger jar dating from the 19th century. The body features vegetal designs of the "three friends of winter": pine, bamboo, and plum. A band of ruyi borders the mouth of the jar, and a band of stylized leaves borders the foot. There is a 6-character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 14 inches tall X 9 inches wide, 35.6 cm X 22.9 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There are two chips to the rim. There are three star cracks to the interior of the jar, one of which is visible on the exterior of the jar and has been repaired. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece after its initial manufacture as diligently as possible; however, as stated in our terms, condition reports are statements of opinion and not representations or warranties. Oakridge Auction Gallery bears no responsibility for any error or omission. Provenance: From the personal collection of Ms. Hathaway in Oroville, California. High resolution photos can be found here.
