An Imposing Cloisonne Vase The wide rounded body supported on a tall square spreading base, the rounded sides rising to a tall squared neck, brightly enamelled with a continuous design of various objects and creatures, including a crouched and snarling green monster, butterflies, a dragon coiled around a flaming pearl, and vessels including an urn, vases and censers, all set against a dense ground of scrolling lotus flowers and leafy tendrils, all above a ring of pink lotus petals above the foot, the foot decorated with an upright blue and yellow stylised flame pattern, the neck set with two pendant loop handles carefully worked in enamel, with a ring of green triangular taotie masks around the rim, the base with a four character mark in a blue square within a red quatrefoil outline and surrounded by delicately rendered leafy tendrils. Period: 18th/19th century. Height: 38 cm.
