A Chinese Famille Verte Flask Of square section, the tall straight sides rising from a flat base to a rounded shoulder, decorated in famille verte enamels, each side with a different scene, depicting alternately: prunus issuing from rockwork with two birds flying beside; a watery landscape with a boat and mountains in the distance; butterflies among peony blooms; and vase surrounded by other auspicious objects, the base unglazed.
