|说明：水洗以青白玉雕成，呈梅花状，外壁饰镂雕梅枝，刀工浑朴流畅，苍劲利落，枝干蜿蜒至底部，其间数朵寒梅绽放枝头，散落其间，相映成趣。巧妙的是，枝梗与朵花不仅恰然巧设为水洗耳柄，同时亦巧妙下延为稳固水洗的支撑底足。|梅花因在冰雪中傲然绽放，以致予人坚贞自守的高洁象征，古人常以梅喻志，既显文人傲骨，又喻寒窗之志，如明代高启即曾有：“雪满山中高士卧，月明林下美人来”的咏叹。是件玉洗，以梅花的艺术形象为主题，想必也是当时文人旖旎遐思的具体反映。
