He graduated from the Kharkov Art College (1918), Kharkov Art Institute (1929). Teachers in the specialty: A. Khvostenko-Khvostov, S. Prokhorov, M. Fedorov. Theater artist, teacher. The artist’s creative work was dominated by the constructive principle of the performance design: the picturesque images were combined with a conditional, subtle poetic selection of expressions of the means of the master of the scenic landscape. Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1958). Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1946). He worked as an artist of the Kharkov Opera and Ballet Theater (1925-1935), at the same time in the Kharkov Ukrainian National Drama Theater, in the State Mobile Opera of the right bank in Vinnitsa and in the State Mobile Opera in Dnepropetrovsk.
