signed HURUOSI，inscribed，and with two seals of the artist dated Xinsi year（1941） ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Hu Ruosi (1916-2004) was a native of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. His father educated him in the appreciation of ancient paintings and calligraphy. He was Zhang Daqian's major disciple. Specialized in landscape painting, he climbed Huangshan 20 times and lived in the mountain to paint.
