按清代冠服制度，君臣、命妇凡穿朝服或吉服必于胸前挂朝珠。朝珠成为清代特有的冠服配饰之一，其质料考究，配戴亦有规定。皇帝朝珠，惟祀天以青金石为饰，祀地珠用蜜珀，朝日用珊瑚，夕月用绿松石，杂饰惟宜。绦皆明黄色。 此挂蜜蜡朝珠共一百零八颗，品相佳美，呈橘红色，每粒珠子由于年份久远，呈不规则细小开片和断裂，整串朝珠配置完整，以四颗大海蓝宝结珠等分，中间结珠连佛头，佛头下背云中间有镶嵌红宝石结牌，垂缀碧玺坠角。宫廷气息浓厚，实属上佳珠串类收藏品。
