此佛像头饰螺发，头顶肉髻高隆，宝珠顶严，大耳垂肩，神态庄严柔和，弯眉上挑，眉间饰圆形白毫，象征智慧圆满，形象生动写实。上身斜搭僧祗，下身着僧裙，双腿结跏跌端坐于莲花宝座上，身姿挺拔有力，左手腹前结禅定印，右手置右膝结触地印。莲花座造型宽大，莲座前方置金刚杵，表明其为金刚宝座，莲花瓣饱满宽圆，劲健有力。整体造型优美，气韵生动，释迦牟尼佛身着福田格袈裟，工艺精湛，气息典雅。此种形象的释迦牟尼多见于十五至十六世纪。
