米拉日巴（1040-1123年）是藏传佛教史上家喻户晓的一位杰出人物，也是藏传佛教各教派公认的大成就者。其传教方法十分独特，常以歌唱教授门徒。此幅唐卡中，主尊米拉日巴居于中央，长发披散，面庞丰圆，表情肃穆。外披居士所着的宽松白袍。左手捧嘎巴拉碗，右手拢于右耳侧，这是米拉日巴最为典型的姿势，表现他以道歌传法的事迹。主尊双腿盘坐于兽皮之上，四周绘制有众多上师与护法，从中能分辨出莲花生大师、释迦佛、白度母、胜乐金刚等形象。整幅唐卡构图疏密有序，排布规整。设色雅丽，用色考究，人物造型生动写实，勾勒细腻流畅，具有典型的藏东风格特点。
