此唐卡的主尊为释迦牟尼，安静淡然的坐于莲花台座之上，略微俯首，眼神下视，宽额丰颐，面容沉静，大耳垂肩，神态安逸。顶饰螺发，肉髻饰于螺发前部。上身着袈裟，下身着高束腰长裙，衣纹飘洒自然。右手结触地印，左手平托钵，身后是圆形背光。
珍珠堆绣唐卡是唐卡艺术宝库中独特的一种表现形式，其制作工艺和表现形式都非常特殊，要按照唐卡艺术最传统的工艺，在佛像轮廓勾勒后，在用上等的珍珠、玛瑙、绿松石和天珠等宝石，用穿线缝制之后又在其边缘用纯金粉绘制其余花鸟人物。整个过程复杂，耗时，成本高，专供寺院收藏等特点。民间很少有人能够一睹珍珠唐卡的绚丽多姿。
