此件玉洗以和阗青玉为材，玉质温润，局部留有红皮，亦受沁。整体做卷曲的莲叶形，借莲叶收合之态，巧作呈洗，自底部至外壁一侧雕一莲枝为把，洗身掏堂均匀，器壁内外皆以细阴线刻饰叶蔓纹，线条刚劲利落。整件作品造型优美典雅，寓意“一品清廉”，实为一件典型的元代文房青案之陈设佳器。
