此件玉佩为和阗白玉质地，细腻温润，带有红沁，包浆浑厚。器呈厚片状，作“工”字形，四角分别雕饰四个简化龙首，圆眼、卷角、闭口。中部有穿孔，可供系挂。工字佩源于汉代，也称琚，为辟邪器物。后世多有模仿，此件即为宋明时期所制。
