此件嵌饰为和阗白玉质，细腻白润。器呈椭圆形，中间鼓凸，以多层镂雕手法琢刻莲鹭纹。三只白鹭穿梭于繁茂的莲花丛中，或俯首，或仰视，或腾飞，动态各异。白鹭头顶有翎羽，圆眼，尖喙，丰颊，羽翅刻饰菱格纹，长腿劲挺。莲花饱满硕大，缠枝交错缭绕，花叶凹凸有致，阴刻叶蔓及花筋。底部有泛波状水纹，线条细密流畅。整体琢工精致，具有鲜明的明代早期春水玉特征，属同类之精品。
