此件锥形器为黄玉质地，玉质温润，带有红沁及灰皮。器体呈四方柱形，顶端有小钮，下端略尖。器壁之上高浮雕一条螭龙缠绕盘曲，龙首回望，枣核眼，细眉，卷鼻，颚下留须。身躯细长，四足攀附有力，细节琢刻精到。此类锥形器最早出现于良渚文化，宋代以后摹古之风渐盛，依据当时流行的特征进行改造，此件便为一例，符合宋至明时期仿古玉器之特征。
