Charles Grottendieck was a jeweller and watchmaker of large reputation in Brussels. In 1890 he was appointed watchmaker to the King and Queen. His pocket watches were ordered only from the best manufactures, mostly Patek Philippe, LeCoultre & Cie, Longines and Vacheron Constantin.
