碗敞口，弧腹，圈足，器身周正。外壁以青花绘饰西番莲托八吉祥纹饰，八宝居于莲花之上，排列疏密得当，衬带婉转，颇具动感。其纹样绘工流畅自然，布局疏密有致，笔法细腻考究，青花发色艳丽典雅，时代特征鲜明。八宝图案起源于印度，并于元代经由藏传佛教的引入而融入到装饰艺术。在明代成化、万历二朝官窑瓷器上使用甚广，故为清官窑多流行佛教题材的装饰，莲托八宝纹此时备受推崇，此类碗多作佛前承放贡物之用，是为清宫供碗之经典式样。
