香盘为焚香之器物，是宋明以后线香流行的产物。在此之前，还有使用木兰、申椒、菌桂、杜衡、秋菊等香草，后亦有乳香、沉香、檀香等，以上香料皆用香囊或香炉焚烧，而线香的流行直接改变了焚香器物的形制，将燃烧范围缩小到方寸之间。拍品侈口，折沿，平底，下承三如意形矮足。盘中心设有小孔，便于插香。香盘内壁蓝色珐琅为地，内饰湖石仙鹤，口沿掐丝珐琅花卉纹一周，色泽典雅丰富，器型优雅精致，为书斋焚香静读之良伴。
