敞口，深腹，圈足。内外施黄釉，光洁莹润，清新淡雅。明清时期，黄釉器为御用瓷器之重要品种。清代《国朝宫史》（卷十七经费条）记载，全黄釉只限于皇帝、皇太后及皇后使用。宣德时首创浇黄技法，因采用浇釉方法得名。至弘治时期达到巅峰，嘉万时期，因其色娇嫩光亮如鸡油，亦称「娇黄」或「鸡油黄」，备受后世推崇。
