茶叶末釉原名厂官釉,是清雍正、乾隆时期御窑厂督陶官唐英在明代磁州窑所产黑釉器物基础上的创新之作。其釉呈色稳定,因失透而显庄严、沉稳;因窑变而形成黄绿变化,高雅精美。唐英《陶成纪事碑》记载厂官釉品种有三:蛇皮绿、鳝鱼黄、黄斑点。后人习称鳝鱼青、鳝鱼黄、茶叶末。此拍品茶叶末釉瓶造型圆浑饱满,端庄规整,做工精细。釉面平净润泽,釉色黄绿交映似茶叶细末,颜色素雅而深沉。
